Ayeka is the first crown royal princess of the planet Jurai, and next inline for the throne. Along with these duties, she also demonstrates serious metaphysical powers, which usually consist of force fields & inertia for protection and traditional Jurai warrior garb. Ayeka also has 2 royal body guards in her service: Azaka and Kamidake. The souls of 2 ancient Jurai soldiers were copied and assimilated into 2 robotic trees, baring blue and red symbols. Ayeka is the personification of traditional, Japanese feminine characteristics (reminds me of a Geisha). However, her bitter jealously, loud mouth, and quick temper are hilarious. She doesn't know how to cook very well, even though it's a "wifely duty" that should come natural to her (since she thinks Tenchi is destined to rule Jurai by her side). Ayeka respects and gets along with everyone, except for Ryoko, who represents everything Ayeka is so steadfastly against. Ayeka is fairly snobby and proper, except when Ryoko is around. She can't control her outrageous temper and constantly fights with Ryoko over everything, especially Tenchi. Ayeka is basically Tenchi's stalker in most of the series, which is very humorous. She feels that she must "keep an eye on Tenchi, otherwise he'll get hurt or into trouble". Her little sister is Sasami who, ironically, is more mature and well mannered than Ayeka. Yosho is Ayeka's long lost, betrothed older brother from Jurai (it's not weird to marry your brother on planet Jurai). He moved to Earth after a battle with Ryoko (700 years ago), where he had several wives & children. One daughter in particular, named Achika Masaki, is Tenchi's deceased mother, which makes Ayeka Tenchi's grandfather's sister. Distant relatives are considered excellent mates in royal families, especially on Jurai. The reason why Ayeka and everyone else on Jurai looks so youthful is due to the water and tree of Jurai. Lucky them!
