Ryoko

Ryoko's entrance varies by series. In the OVA series, she's a 2,000 year old space pirate. Ryoko has 3 Jurai gems, which contain Washu's goddess powers, as her ultimate source of power. Two are on her wrist, and the third is on the base of her neck. With these gems, she has the potential to create the Light Hawk Wings, just like Tenchi. The criminal master mind Kagato used the power of the gems to control Ryoko and sent her to attack Jurai, 700 years ago. Yosho used the Tenchi-ken sword to strip her of the gems and imprisoned her in the Masaki Shrine. Ryoko watched Tenchi from her prison every since he was a little boy. She appears a hideous mummy within the ruins of the shrine after Tenchi awakens her, but soon rejuvenates herself. She then finds the gems and begins to seek revenge on Tenchi, since he is relation to Yosho. Using the Tenchi-ken sword, Tenchi rightfully retrieves the gems and places them back on the sword's hilt, just as Yosho did.

Another entrance Ryoko makes is Tenchi in Tokyo's, when she crashes into Earth with Washu as her cohort in crime. Tenchi discovers Ryoko and subdues her with the crystal charm that his mother, Achika Masaki, left him after she died. Ryoko is a symbiot created by Washu, even though Ryoko is really Washu's daughter because she used her own ovum to create Ryoko. Since Washu also created Ryo-Ohki, they are "siblings", in a sense. Ryoko is a demon (Oni) with the ability to channel powerful energy blasts and a light sword. She can teleport, fly, and walk through walls, as well as summon demons from ordinary objects. Tenchi showed great kindness and concern for Ryoko, especially when she was injured. Thus, she fell madly in love with Tenchi (as most girls do). Ryoko is extremely violent, but Tenchi brings out the best in her. She represents a very bossy, upfront type of sensuality about women. Ryoko has absolutely no manners and doesn't care about rules. She's very unashamed about her body but is very insecure and sensitive when Tenchi's involved. Ryoko is very bullheaded and loud, which clashes with Ayeka quite a bit. They fight about everything, especially Tenchi. Even though she hates the Galaxy Police, she gets along famously with Mihoshi and Kiyone (their antics make her laugh more than anything). Ryoko just tells it like it is and always says what's on her mind.
