Sculpture of Peace Starting to Take Shape
 

Glass hand casting

The sculpture will be lit at night by a fibre-optic lighting system positioned ankle-high which will illuminate through glass hand casts (bottom left).

Like a mechanical extension to Ross Mitchell-Anyon's own arm the machinery adds 'life' to the sculpture. Ross helps the child with making the hand cast while the heavy equipment lifts ground (compare top left and bottom right images).
 

If you look carefully you can see a very faint rainbow above the cityscape in the bottom right image.
