Elven names
There are two types of names among elves - sound names (Darahan, Gil) and names formed of one or more words (Grasshawk, Morningbreeze). Sound names are formed by putting together random syllables. Especially with descriptive names, please, please, please think about it carefully. Having a name like 'Manslayer' will only get you laughed at.
Descriptive names
Among wolfriders and many other tribes, descriptive names are common. Names can come
from elf's appearance, personality, favored weapon, skill or something special that s/he did.
Cub's first name is always based on appearance or something surrounding the birth (unless you
happened to have a Deep Senser around which few have).
You can create an elf (or wolf or other animal) name by taking one or two of the words below.
Longer names are very rare because often an elf's life can depend on it that other can warn
him/her in time. And if it takes five seconds to say the name and three for an arrow to hit
him/her, the warning comes too late.
