Kellogg's CARS License Plate Offer
Kellogg's and Pixar provided license plates for CARS as an exclusive movie promotion offer. Several brands of Kellogg's cereal had the offer on the back of the boxes. There were two plates available, Mater and Fillmore. The offer required "tokens" (Cars wheel) that were on the back of the boxes to be mailed in for the plates.
Plates could be obtained free with five "tokens" or for $2.99 and one "token".

The plates were produced in China and were 6" X 12" in size. They were made of aluminum and were embossed. The plates also came with two decal letter sheets that enabled name customization.

There were two white decal letter sheets shipped with each plate. The first sheet had letters A to L and the second sheet had letters for M to Z. The sheets measured 11 ⅝" X 5" in size. The letters were 2" tall. Note: The decal sheets have been digitally enhanced to show the die-cut lines of the letters.
The plates were shipped in a plastic bag inside of a padded cardboard mailer. The bag has a suffocation warning printed on it.
The plates proved to be very popular and the initial supply ran out even though the offer was set to expire in June 30, 2007. Notices were sent to those that had ordered plates telling them of the delay and provided an option to request a refund if desired.
