A Disney Vacation Club Resort Property. Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas is the eighth Disney Vacation Club timeshare resort and the sixth located at the Walt Disney World Resort. The first phase opened in summer 2007 and included 134 remodeled units on the fifth and sixth floors of the existing Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, which opened in 2001. Later construction will add 324 units in a new building, Kidani Village, which will open in phases and is expected to be completed in 2009. No plates have been issued for this resort. | |
In May of 2010, Disney announced plans to convert the unbuilt second phase of the Pop Century Resort into family suites and traditional hotel rooms with designs base on four popular animated movies. The buildings will feature themes from "The Little Mermaid", "The Lion King", "Finding Nemo" and "Cars". No plates have been issued for this resort. | |

The Caribbean Beach Resort was designed with a Caribbean theme. Guests stay in one of the many buildings that encircle Barefoot Bay. The Contemporary main building was built as an A-frame with outer walls that slope inwards around an inner atrium. Dixie Landings Resort was designed to reflect antebellum south along the Mississippi River. It merged with Port Orleans Resort on April 1, 2001. Dixie Landings Resort opened February 2, 1992 and was adjacent to Port Orleans. The combined resort will be known as the Port Orleans Resort, with the Port Orleans section to be known as the French Quarter and the Dixie Landings section will be known as Riverside. | |

On March 1, 2007, Disney announced plans to convert its Eagle Pines and Osprey Ridge golf courses into a new 900-acre luxury resort that will include a Four Seasons hotel, an 18-hole championship golf course, plus single-family and multi-family vacation homes and vacation timeshare properties. The sluggish economy and additional construction delays due to the Golden Oak architecture have pushed back the planned opening date from 2010 to 2012, then to 2014. Formerly known as the Grand Floridian Beach Resort and in 1997 the name was changed to Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The hotel was inspired by the Victorian era beach resorts built along Florida's east coast during the late 1800s and early 1900s. Pop Century Resort is themed around different decades in American pop culture. Each themed area features motel-style buildings adorned with gigantic phrases and icons of the particular decade being represented.
