Odyssa was running towards the docks when her stomach began to grumble. "DAMNIT! i need FOOD!!!!!!" She started running back to the inn to stay for the night, stupid owners or not. <Should've ransacked the treasury before coming...if they have decent money in there>

As she stepped into the bar, she saw the same girl she ran into while she was coming out. <hey, it's her, wonder who that guy is she's talking to.> Odyssa tried to shrug her curiosity off, but her will was too strong. After ordering, she crept closer to eavesdrop.

The two were talking in low tones, so Odyssa wasn't able to hear much. The guy suddenly handed the girl a huge sack, after which the girl promptly stood up and left. Odyssa started to get up, remembered her food, gobbled everything down in ten seconds flat, stood up again and ran towards the door. Once outside, she paused and looked around, confused. The other girl was nowhere to be found.

<Great. Just great.>

Trooping back to the inn, she slumped back down. <Still hungry. May as well order some more.>

On the next table, the merchant leaned back with a sigh of relief. "That was either a very brave lady or a crazy one." he informed his partner, who had been standing beside him.

"True." The other man allowed. "But Kyrr, what made you think to hire a woman to kill Tog? He's one of the most ruthless and cold-blooded people I know. He's murder his own mother if he thought it would make him richer than he already is! Crazy or not, she'll have no chance with him."

Odyssa's eyes filled with the mischief of a little girl. <So she's a bounty hunter, murderer, killer, etc... eh. heh, i could sure use on of those. wonder if she would let me hire her to kill....> then she sighed. <Too bad I lost her.>

Sometime later.....

Odyssa wandered the docks, unsure of what to do next. She should probably find an inn or something to spend the night, but she was too restless - and too full - to go to sleep.<I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!!!> She stared out into the sea. Anyway, it seemed peaceful here at night. <what a boring, boring, place>

She paused. Was it her imagination, or was there a faint noise in one of the docked ships? She stopped and listened. Yup, there it was again. <Ghost? Nah.>

Cautiously, Odyssa stepped into one of the larger ships. She seemed to be in some sort of cargohold. <Maybe thieves are stealing cargo.> she thought hopefully. <Maybe I could capture them and become a hero....and get some decent food as a reward.>

Scuttle, scuttle.

"EW! ROACHES!" Odyssa yelped.

A shadow moved.

Aerienne was just dozing off when a shriek sounded behind a nearby crate. Instinctively, she jumped up and aimed her bloodsharde at the intruder. "Who's there?"

A young purple-haired girl stared back at her. She looked a little familiar. "Whoa! Stop! I'm not gonna attack you or anything!" The girl held up her hands.

Aerienne relaxed a little. "Who are you?" she snapped irritably.

"My name's Odyssa!" the other girl responded cheerfully. "What luck! I found you!"

"Found me?" Aerienne repeated. "Girl, I don't even know you."

"Oh, I didn't mean that!" the girl called Odyssa let loose a barrage of words. "I meant that what luck cause I saw you at the inn and overheard you talking with that guy and heardyouwereabountyhunterandIwaswonderingifyoucouldhelpmedothislittlethingi needhelpwithcuzyourprettygoodatitrightandican'tsoifican'tandyoucould-"

Aerienne's mind whirled. This was worse than the police. "Stop it, dammit!" she growled.

Odyssa stopped. "You shouldn't swear, you know. It's bad to swear."she said solicitously.

"Yeah. Whatever you say."Aerienne sat down. This was a longer night than she expected.

"What do you want?!" she asked, closing her eyes. "In ten words or less."

"I want to hire you."

Aerienne kept her eyes closed.

"I want you to kill my parents for me."

Aerienne opened her eyes and stared at Odyssa hard. Odyssa stared back. "Okay, I can tell you're not lying. Tell me, how much do you have?"

"I can get all the money I need from my father's treasury. How much do you want?"

Aerienne smirked. "Well, now you're talking."

Aerienne: *snarls* First, the police comes after me, then I have to
babysit?!! What the hell are you doing?!!

Ryoko: *facefaults*Oroo......

Odyssa: Whadda you mean babysit?!!?!?! <wails>
