Don't Spare
the Details

For the aspiring executive who is still building his business, purchasing a brand new car may be out of the question at this time. However, cars live longer in the Caribbean as lower incomes and high tax regimes has eroded away the cost gains international car manufacturers have made in cutting costs.

Auto refinishing rather than replacing your old car with one of the new beauties you have been viewing in that fancy brochure is probably the best option.

There is no rule that says your 'old baby on wheels' cannot look as good as the one that caught your eye in the booklet. A refinisher can give your car the look and feel of newness, while giving you the assurance of getting quality within your budget.

Buffing, filling, priming, welding, rust proofing. All geared to saving you money and giving your vehicle a brand new feel and look. Often you do not need to do work on your entire car if only one particular area needs attention. Perhaps you fender needs repairing or the panels need a little straightening. Depending on the extent of the sanding job you may opt to paint just that area or the entire car. Many owners chose to paint their car in white, black or a standard colour as it is easier to match the colour if retouching becomes necessary.

You might also consider safeguarding you asset against the harsh weather by applying a coat of rust proofing before the final coat of paint is applied. This added to the life of the car and improves the longevity of its aesthetics as well.

While you may not like to face it, owning a car can be dirty business. There is everyday dust and rainy-day mud, not to mention the grime and sludge of an unexpected and unwelcome flood that often comes without warning in the region.. The good news is that you car can look just like new for only a few dollars and s short visit to the auto detailers.

An exterior detail can cost about US$40 and takes about two hours for a complete job. It involves the entire overhaul of the car exterior surface including the special attention paid to the wheels. The body is waxed and a protective chemical is applied to the finish as well as the rubber accessories such as trims and tyres.

An interior detailing requires an assessment of the car's interior to determine any trouble spots that might need particular attention. An overall vacuuming and shampooing is done to remove any excess moisture or grease lodged in the plush. The vehicle is then dried either by natural sunlight or by using special heat lamps. After drying, the interior may be fitted with any an aroma therapy or a new asthma care service now being offered by some dealers.

Whatever the age of the car you can keep it new and maintain its resale value a new car is within reach.
