THE POEMS I WRITE

The poems I write

Are not just for you

But you see them first

That much is true

They are sometimes chirpy

Sometimes blue

At times fiction

But paint pictures true

Of scenes of horror

Sorrow and pain

Or a buxom body

Transparent in rain

Of nature and love

And feelings tender

Lovers who join

In sweet surrender

The poems I write

Will tell you how I feel

And my need to share

Isn’t it part of the deal?

That you spend your time

Reading what’s there

Some laughter, some tears

And tales hard to bear

You get lost in some

Some open your eyes

At times you are cynical

They all seems like lies

It is kindness that makes

You read them through

At times you imagine

They were written for you

The poems I write

Are not my own

They come from within

A source unknown

So ask me not

Why I write them or for who

If you are reading them now

They are for you
