Mary, virgin mother of Jesus Christ, has been said to appear to children, sometimes over trees. A string of UFO appearances occurred around the turn of the 20th century at Fatima, Portugal. There were nearly 70,000 people who actually witnessed an unidentified, disc-like object dance in the heavens. This UFO's behavioral charecteristics were compared to a "sun dance," a term popularized by noted author Fr.Joseph Pelletier. This event was documented in his now famous book entitled THE SUN DANCED AT FATIMA.
Similar UFOs have been reported more recently in places like Medjugorji, which were remarkably similar to the UFOs seen at Fatima. The appearance of the Virgin Mary was allegedly accompanied by numerous angelic encounters, which often left the children prostrate and enraptured in prayer. (Reference 2, 3)
