Prague

Prague. 27th August, 1999.

These two photos of our Kiwi trio were both taken in.....Park, once home to a giant statue of Stalin, now a lovely area of trees and grass which overlooks the city. It also has its own Eiffel Tower (Petrin- the pic on the right taken about halfway up!)The view from the top is excellent.

Vseyhrad. September 2nd, 1999.

Prague is famous for Hradceny, the biggest medieval castle in Europe, but a few tram stops from the centre of town is Vseyhrad, another smaller castle. The cemetery there is full of very ornate grave markings, such as this one.

A view of Cesky Krumlov from the castle. The tower and building in the foreground of the left of the photo are part of the castle.
