Rating System Is 1-10 10 Being the Highest Points Gave. the Higher the Points The better the Movie.

Pitch Black :

Ratings: On a scale Of 1-10 I gave it a 4!

Details:Suspense/Horror and Science Fiction/Fantasy. 1 hr. 47 min. Rated R for sci-fi violence and gore, and for language.

Starring: Vin Diesel , Keith David , Radha Mitchell , Lewis Fitz-Gerald , Cole Hauser .

Directed by David Twohy .

Produced by Tom Engelman .

Written by Jim Wheat , Ken Wheat and David Twohy . Distributor: USA Films
What's The Movie Is about:
In the not-too-distant future, a docking pilot makes a forced crash-landing of her spacecraft on a distant planet. Her crew is killed, but some of the passengers escape; A lawman is unharmed but so is his prisoner, a convicted murderer. As the survivors explore the uncomfortably hot planet, they must band together. The planet is eerie, arid, and lifeless. As the sun sets and the planet plunges into total darkness, other inhabitants emerge.
My Thoughts On the Movie: I was disappointed. I did not like how they faded from black and white back into color, they used that effect way to much. I also thought the crash happened to early into the movie. Over all the movie was good and I will watch it again.

Mystery Men:

Ratings:5

When Captain Amazing, chief super hero of Champion City, is kidnapped by insane super villain Casanova Frankenstein, who will save the city and ensure that justice is served?

Enter the Mystery Men: Mr. Furious, The Bowler, The Blue Raja, The Shoveler, The Spleen, The Sphinx, and the Invisible Boy- a group of misfits in possession of superpowers...sort of.

Watch the mayhem ensue, as this wacky team goes up against Frankenstein and his mad henchmen. This adaptation of the popular Dark Horse comic strikes a weird comic tone which is heightened by great production design and fun performances by all involved.

This is the first feature from director Usher, who previously directed commercials ("Got Milk?").
Directed by: Kinka Usher
Produced by: Lawrence Gordon, Mike Richardson, Lloyd Levin

Starring: Ben Stiller, Janeane Garofalo,William H. Macy, W. H. Macy, Pee-Wee Herman, Paul Reubens,Kel Mitchell, Geoffrey Rush, Lena Olin, Tom Waits, and Eddie Izzard.

My Thoughts: A funny comedy about would be super heroes trying to get started in crime fighting then wind up trying to save their icon and finally becoming the heroes they wanted to be. This movie has stupid (i.e. passing gas as a super power) humor which may be to much for some but over all will make you laugh atlest once. if you need a laugh rent it :)

Bats:

Rating:5
Thriller and Suspense/Horror. 1 hr. 39 min Rated R for some graphic, bloody bat attacks.
Starring: Lou Diamond Phillips , Dina Meyer , Bob Gunton and Leon .
Directed by Louis Morneau .
Produced by Brad Jenkel and Louise Rosner .
Written by John Logan .
Distributor: Destination Films
Release Date: October 22, 1999 Nationwide

Whats it about :
When the small Texas town of Gallup experiences a series of inexplicable bat attacks on local residence, the government calls upon eminent wildlife Zoologist Dr. Sheila Casper to investigate. Although usually a harmless and rather gentle animal, swarms of bats have suddenly become vicious, making Gallup a very dangerous place after the sun goes down. Sheila teams up with town sheriff Emmett Kimsey to discover why these nocturnal mammals have changed their behavior. As the attacks escalate, Sheila and Kimsey must locate and destroy the swarm's cave before the killing spreads.

My Thoughts: I thought it was the actors did a great job acting and reacting to the bat attacks the fx were done well. I don't recommend anyone under 13 to watch :) after watching this you'll be ducking at night... lol

Hangin Up Movie Review By Linda

I went to see "hangin' up" last night..here is my review.

"Hangin' up"...definitely a chic flick...men stay away..you won't understand it..or it could be a nice place to fall asleep (if you don't snore:-)

Now for the sweet females in the reading audience..enjoy this movie ..we have all been where these three females are..you feel unappreciated, the demands on your life are to show success and that isn't always easy with your siblings or parents or anyone else for that matter..

altogether its a cute little film about life in general and the ups and downs that can occur...and it also has a 'put-a-smile-on-your-face ending' which is as winnie-the-pooh would say "A Very Good Thing"
