Im glad to be apart of this little program,and I think I can offer you all, over 20 years of watching and perticipating in sports. My father and I have been watching wrestling before wrestling was cool.(LOL)
I use to go fishing everyday growing up,my father was a caretaker of a farm that had a lake.It was a cool place to grow up. So everyweek I will give an update on wrestling,and maybe give some fishing tips,I will also give updates on U of K and U of L basketball ( my husband is a big fan).
For those of you not familiar with wrestling,It has been around for a very long time.Well since the cave men days, if you think about it.(LOL) Men always get enjoyment out of beaten another man up.
In the beginning it was a true contest between men.The only problem some of the matches were very long.People would loose interest and get bored.So the promotors had to think of a way to keep the public's interest.So they created scenarios,with good and bad wrestlers.The bad being called "heals".
When alot of people say wrestling is fake,well yea,alot of it is.It's like watching a play.You know the play is entertainment and not nessasrily real life,but you enjoy it just the same.Where else in life can you go watch 2,3,4, or even 10 men, duke it out and the cops not be called...
So for all intended purposes this is just sports entertainment,but don't get me wrong these guys do get injured.The promotors encourage the wrestlers to take their acts to more dangerous levels.Which I think is a little bit too dangerous,but thats what sells tickets.
So here we are in the year 2000 with the World Wrestling Federation.Raw is War at the top of the ratings as always. (Here is a quick run down of events that occurred this past monday night.)
Raw was as exciting as ever.Tripple H came out and said he was going to give a tribute to Mick Foley.The best I think this "heal" could muster up.We all know the WWF is not a sentimental group of individuals.He deserved a much better one.
The people's champion"The Rock" came out and challenged Tripple H.Tripple H said he would only have a conversation with the #1 contender.The Rock is not,but Stephanie McMahon had an idea.If the Rock could beat either Tripple H or the Big Show in an handicap match,he could go on to Wrestle Mania.The Rock being the champion he is, agreed.
Shane McMahon made his appearance after a long time away,and said he wanted to talk to his sister "McMahon to McMahon".He introduced his champion "The Big Show". Said he was going to straighten the mess the WWF was in, up.
After all the soap Opera stuff was over they finally got down to wrestling.
FIRST CARD:Hardy Boyz vs.The Acolytes Surprising not only to me but to the Acolytes,they lost.
NEXT CARD:Rikishi Phattu vs.Kurt Angle Winner by count out Rikishi..Looks like the 3 I's didn't work this time.

NEXT:The Brooklyn Brawler vs. The Rock Do Ya Smelllalalala what the Rock was cooken.

NEWS!!!! May Young gave birth to a 10 pound hand.It had four fingers and one thumb,said to look just like its father.Ha-Ha....
