June 29, 2000, Thursday- the GREAT ALASKAN ADVENTURE has arrived. We dropped Steve off at work and drove to the Allright parking. The trunk wasn't yet opened when the van driver put our suitcases on the shuttle. Then, off to DIA where we then found out that we couldn't use the curbside check-in since we were on international flight. So, up one level to the international flight counter. After ten minutes in line we found out that trips to Canada were in a different area, so off we go one more time. Out flight was smooth as silk, and the airport in Vancouver was magnificent, starting with the glass jet-ways, up through the glass enclosed secure areas, and through customs and immigration. After a short cab ride we were in our hotel, the Waterfront Centre, by 2:30. Deb and Rob had already arrived.

The east coast contingent arrived about 6 PM, following a 4.5 hour bus ride from Seattle. We all went for a relaxing dinner at the Rex grill. Upon our return to the hotel at 9ish, we met Steve, Becky and Debi when they arrived a few minutes later. Amazing, 14 of us arrived pretty much on schedule, ready to start the week of partying. Galaxy cruise- watch our tomorrow!
