Temptation

Temptation is sitting there with that aura,

And that smile that I'm not allowed to touch.
I watch, praying no one will see.

Pulling at everything I've got not to run and
Disappear into...temptation.

You're a long time coming and you're
Truth.

And I'm torn between something I think might only

Be half and what might be the whole.

I've invested so much currency into the current
And you're sitting cross-legged in front of me

Scaring me.
I'm not a betting man, but for once in my life.....

Maybe the gamble just has to be appealing enough.
I whispered something in temptation's ear not long ago

And I meant it.
A meaning more than I wanted it to mean.
