We rode the Eurostar railway from London to Paris, traveling under the English Channel and arriving in about 3 hours. I experienced MAJOR culture shock in Paris :) The language barrier was greater than I'd imagined, and I had a hard time finding food that I actually liked! But despite my physical starvation, I discovered rich nourishment in the form of beauty and history!

We traveled on foot through Paris, getting lost, yet having a great time exploring the city. The Eiffel Tower is amazing- it's really tall :) The Louvre proved to be too crowded, so we just meander through it without too much conviction of seeing it all. Montmarte was fascinating- it's one of the highest points in the city and is filled with street artists. I thought of my brother and his love of art the whole time I was touring through Paris!
