MOONLIT SHORE


I sat on the shore in the moonlight
My thoughts awash of you
The stars were sparkling like diamonds
On a velvet of navy blue

I wrapped my love in the glow of a moonbeam
Tied it up with a starlight bow
I stood at the edge of the water
And carefully let it go

With a pod of dolphins as escort
And a dugong guiding the way
I asked them to deliver my package
And to hurry - without delay

So when you sit on the shore in the evenings
And the waves dance in the glow of the moon
Let the moonbeams and starlight embrace you
For my love will be arriving there soon
