~ Chimes ~
All shapes they come in, many sounds they make.
Even with no breeze, the echo lingers on.
High pitch, low pitch, sweetly combined.
Such a soothing sound, musical chimes.
Winds of centuries, daily they come.
Notes of peace, and of sorrow too.
Where were you, when you first knew.
How very special, musical chimes.
On a front porch, young of age.
Listening to grandpa, tell his tales.
Late of eve, sun slowing setting.
Distant sound, musical chimes.
Laughter surrounded you, life was good.
Time wasn’t important, it just was.
Thinking of fireflies, how to catch.
The glow of twilight, musical chimes.
Violent of storms, loudly confused.
Notes ran together, a bit scary it was.
Passing of storm, then calm again.
Twinkle de de, musical chimes.
Memories that surface, just from sounds.
Lightly played, no special rhythm.
Forces of nature, tells it all.
Only who listen to musical chimes. poem copyrighted@Linda Elaine Calhoun 2000
Rereading as intended what was recorded over a year ago as God placed these words together...echos? The vision just from this one word ~
The past, present and future; history repeating itself over and over again and many still don't get it. It? God is the only one who can calm the storms; seist their fiery onset while instilling inner peace all at the same time 'in' the order that He wishes it to be. Sometimes He works so fast (did I hear the chimes ring or not?) or slowly with intense ringing for there were many lessons to learn.
"Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:11-13
"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27
"And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." Galatians 3:29

Thank You Heavenly Father as Your words are and will always be passed on down from generation to generation; Your promises that have never waivered. We do trust You My Lord for You and only You are the way. In Jesus precious name.
Amen
