Mom's No-Bake Cookies

The best cookies ... ever

2 cups sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
3 cups 1-Minute Quick Oats
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup peanut butter

Mix sugar and cocoa in a medium sauce pan.

Melt butter. Add butter and milk to sugar-cocoa mixture.

Bring mixture to a boil and boil (uncovered) for exactly 1 minute.

Remove from heat immediately and add peanut butter and vanilla. Mix well. Add oats and mix thoroughly.

Spoon out cookies — 2-inch in diameter — onto wax paper.

Allow cookies to cool before eating or removing from wax paper.

Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
