RECIPE:
Tommy's Totally Turtle Cookies

A gooey variation on the classic cookie.

1 cup butter (softened)
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
6-8 oz. milk chocolate (chips or chunks)
5-6 oz. caramel morsels 1 cup pecans (chopped)


Heat oven to 375 degrees.

In large bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and salt with an electric mixer until creamy.

Add eggs, beat well.

Stir together flour and baking soda, then gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended.

Stir in chocolate chips, caramel morsels and pecans.

Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet to complete cooling.

Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
