A SIMPLE LOVE SPELL

It is always wise to cast a circle, however, for this spell, it is not necessary. I don’t believe I even NEED to go into the drill about not stealing someone else’s lover or forcing someone to do your bidding. This is a request to the Universe, not a demand that someone must love you. As this spell is simple, yet powerful, be careful what you wish for.
It IS important that this spell be done during a
waxing
moon, preferably two days before, and the day of the Full Moon.

It will give you this simple information. If you prefer a more detailed view and discourse on the moon’s phases, you can check out “Inconstant Moon” which is hyperlinked on my Spells Page. You can also just consult a calendar or almanac.
For colors—think pink (altar cloth, clothing, etc.) Green can also be used as it represents growth, and you are wanting love to ‘grow’. Certain Tarot cards could be put on the altar along with the usual paraphernalia. Ones such as:
* The Chariot
* Ace of Wands
* Eight of Wands
* (The above three get things moving)
* The Lovers
* Knight of Cups (represents male or female)
* The Star
* The Moon
For anyone who cannot see the picture, among other items, you will need two pink candles and one magenta one. On one of the pink candles carve your lover’s name. If not known, carve ‘person of my dreams’ or whatever. On the other pink candle carve your name. Carve the following runes (circling the candle) onto the magenta candle in the following order:
* Wunjo
* Berkana
* Teiwaz
* Inguz
* Othila
* Gebo
* Isa

It will hyperlink you to a place called

by Balder. This site shows how these runes should look and thus, enable you to carve them into the candle.
As you are drawing someone towards you, anoint (rub oil on the candle) in a downward motion from the top (wick) of the candle to the middle. Stop. Turn the candle and repeat. Now rub from the bottom up to the middle with the oil. Stop. Turn the candle and repeat. DO NOT rub in a back and forth motion as this will negate the process. If desired, the candle can then be rolled in herbs appropriate for this occasion.
HERBS
You do not need to use all of these herbs. These are just a suggestion of herbs that are associated with love. Personally, I like to use the rose petals and elder flowers. I sprinkle them around the cauldron. Note: Notice I said rose
petals
and not roses. No thorns, please!
* Rose petals
* Elder flowers
* Juniper berries
* Moonwort
* Meadowsweet aka Queen of the Meadow
* Rue will rout negativity and get things moving
* Yarrow
Raise your arms and open yourself to Deity. Silently commune with the God/Goddess explaining your need for a true love. Remember that in order to gain love, you must feel and be loving (In perfect love and trust).
Hold your hands on either side of the prepared magenta candle and mentally direct your thoughts, that is, your intentions into the candle. Place inside the cauldron.
Here’s a caveat to heed--be careful what you wish for.
The cauldron should be on your altar between the two pink candles. Inside the cauldron itself is where you have placed the magenta candle. [See picture at top of page.]
Light a love incense (Vanilla is a good one.) and at this time, JUST the pink candles. Tap the cauldron
three
times with your wand.
Say:
One to Seek him/her,
One to Find him/her.
One to Bring him/her,
One to Bind him/her.
Heart to Heart, Forevermore,
So say I. So Mote It Be!!!
If known, use your lover’s name where it says “him”/“her”.
Tap the cauldron
three
times with your wand.
While the pink candles are still burning, light the magenta candle. Put a pinch of ginger on the candle flame (it will sparkle) to speed the spell on its way.
Again, this is best done during the
waxing
Moon.
Say:
Candle of Power, Candle of Might,
Create my Desires here on This Night.
Power Stream from this Candle’s Fire.
Bring to Me my Heart’s Desire.
My Words Have Strength, the Victory’s
Won.
So Say I!!!
This Spell Is Done!!!
Now tap the cauldron
three
more times.
Don’t forget to give blessing and thanks to Deity and to the Elementals. Also, do not forget the usual caveat.
On the first two nights you will need to snuff all of the candles after you have ended the spell. On the third night (preferably the Full Moon), place all the candles inside of the cauldron and put in a safe, fireproof place where that they may burn completely down and out. After they have completely cooled, sprinkle the remaining herbs onto the ground as an offering to the spirits of Nature. You can also put them in a little bag (preferably red or pink) and carry them with you. You might also add any remaining and completely cooled wax to that mixture.
Again, give thanks to Deity and the Elementals and Be Careful What You Wish For…
