These spells are not for ‘dabblers’. Shoo. Hie thee away from my website if you are dabbling in Magick. These spells are for serious and experienced practitioners. Always remember that what goes around, comes around and not to mess with Karmic Law. Perhaps now would be a good time to venture to Lady Bridget’s discourse on Hexing. You will find some very good advice at Spellcraft and her
Hexing.

Don’t forget to return to this page. She is quite correct when warning that hexing is not something to trifle with and there are repercussions. So if you are not completely immersed in the craft, you may want to skip down to the rug spell.

Spell to Rid or Shoo Negativity and Promote Protection

For this one you will need the following consecrated items—

*cauldron
*3 black candles
*wand
*elder flowers
*basil
*protection incense (sandalwood is good or whatever you have and prefer)
*water
*salt
*oil (to bless the candles)
red ink pen
*white or virgin parchment paper

I like to think of this one as a positive cleansing to negate negative energies that have been bugging me. Personally, I would cast a circle (circle of protection) before commencing the spell.

For this one, it is unnecessary to have a specific person or circumstance stated (although it helps to be specific if at all possible).

Write on the parchment in RED ink the name(s) or issue(s) of that which is troubling you. If you can, incorporate astrological information into the spell, such as birth details (when the issue arose, at what latitude/longitude it occurred, etc.)

As stated previously, put this information onto a parchment or plain white paper with RED ink. Draw a banishing pentacle on the paper. Preferably, use four of them—one over (just above)—one on either side of the ‘details’ and one under the details (just below).

Light the incense before beginning the spell. It would be a good idea to have the other consecrated items already on the altar (table) when you are doing this. To consecrate the items (and all should be consecrated), just say something such as “I consecrate this element salt to the God and Goddess (Angels, or whatever your belief says). If you have a specific God or Goddess in mind, name it.

The three black candles also need to be anointed. For banishing, rub the oil onto the candle from the middle to the ends, i.e., hold it and using your thumb and forefinger, start at the middle and ‘dress’ it from the middle to the top and then from the middle to the bottom. Never do a back and forth motion as this negates the entire process. Silver RavenWolf, Witch and author of many books, says to put a dab of the oil on your ‘third eye’ and say over the candle some words such as: I cleanse and consecrate this taper in the name of the God and the Goddess. May it burn in strength in the service of Light”.

State the purpose of the candle. You should write on the candle. For most spells, I prefer to use runic symbols or writing, but you may write in the language of your choice. When inscribing a candle, use the same directional procedure. To bring things toward you, write from the top to the middle, then from the bottom to the middle of the candle.

You are repelling something so the process is rubbing from the middle to the ends. Normally, an athame is used to carve the inscription, but a consecrated crystal would be fine. If you are repelling something specifically, the words can be written in script backwards on the candle from bottom to top with a rusty nail. By the way, when you want to draw something toward you, reverse the process.

It is actually easier to do the inscribing before the oil consecration. Returning to the runic inscriptions I like to use, try to make them fit the circumstance. For instance, if it has something to do with property or legalities, Othila and Jera would be appropriate. Make the last runic symbol Isa. This puts an ‘ending’ to it. If you are unfamiliar with runes, please see my Rune Page under Topics and check out the links on it.

Throw some basil and elder flowers into the cauldron (something which is fire proof and in which you can burn the parchment and herbs).

Recite the following:

Bubble, bubble, cauldron bubble
Burn the trouble, destroy the muddle

Ignite the parchment from the central (top) candle then drop the parchment into the cauldron (before it burns your fingers). The black candles should be positioned just so—one at the top and one on each side of the cauldron (burning apparatus) but not so close you can’t work your magick without getting burned.

Take the consecrated wand and stir (three times counterclockwise or widdershins, then three times clockwise or deosil) the air above the cauldron whilst chanting:

Darkness is ended, the (whatever’s) control is done.
Light has come, my battle’s won.

Now, add the caveat—“In no way will this spell reverse of place upon me or those I love [or you could say—my loved ones] any curse! So Mote It Be!!!

Stir the cauldron ‘remains’ just like you stirred the air above it. [For this spell, it is not necessary for the candles to burn all the way out.] Then take the ashes, herbs and ‘remains’ mixture outside and throw them up to the winds and the moon. Say, “It Is Done!”

This is best done on a waning moon.

So, take the time to prepare for the spell. Gather your paraphernalia beforehand, such as, your ‘tools’, herbs, candles, etc. The consecrations and inscriptions can also be done beforehand. However, the anointing should be done during the spelling.

And, to be totally on the safe side, it is always wise to call the quarters and cast a circle for this kind of magick.

This is a potent spell and well worth the trouble. It should make you feel good all over like a really refreshing bath or cleansing.

Rug Spell For Clearing Psychological ‘Bugs’

Materials Needed:

*light colored rug that can be written upon
*Red pen
*pictures of what’s bugging you (not necessary)

A therapist friend of mine really liked this one and often suggests it to her patients.

Write the name(s) of the thing(s) that is/are bugging you on the rug in RED ink. (It works best if it is one of those throw types one puts before an entry door or sink.) Also, if it is too difficult to write directly onto the rug, use some course material sewn (by hand) onto the rug. By the way, it is possible for pictures to be copied directly onto the material eliminating the need for attaching them to the rug.

Turn the rug over.

I like to put it in the garage where it would attract a great deal of dirt and foot/paw traffic from creatures (human and pets) entering the domicile. Eventually, you will forget about the ‘issues’ written underneath. They will tend to ‘disappear’. If you do remember, there will be great satisfaction in turning if over, tracking dirt on it, and jumping widdershins all over it before turning it over once again.

If you don’t want anyone to know what you have written in your own language, write it in runic. Again, please see my Rune Page for more information on writing in runic.

I have woven a simple Love Spell for you. Always remember to “ground” yourself and be of sound mind and pure of heart when performing a spell or ritual.

This is all for now, but I will be adding more helpful spells that I deem appropriate for the Internet in the future.

–Blessings, Raven
