ANNOUNCING
THE 2ND ROTANDOMUNDO
POETRY CONTEST!
Greetings
Friends!
Submit one poem (20 lines or less) before midnight on July 16th, 2002, and you could win up to $45 worth of books from your favorite online bookstore! (See below for more info)
ROTANDOMUNDO:
Rotandomundo
continues its dedication to poetry with a second poetry contest.
The first contest was held in the winter of 2000-2001.
It was a haiku contest and it went smashingly.
Thanks to all who contributed. Anyone
interested can read the resulting poems here.
The
2nd Rotandomundo Poetry Contest will be even bigger and better than
the first! The category for this
contest is the short poem (20 lines or less). There are no restrictions on form or subject matter
(extremely experimental weirdness is highly encouraged). Prose poems are also welcome, as are traditional forms
(sonnets, haiku, villanelles, etc.).
Rotandomundo
will publish (on the web) as many poems as is humanly possible to make webpages
for, and will create, in addition to the winning poems, a short list of the
judges favorites.
This contest will have three judges. They are all excellent poets who have published poems in many places. The judges are: Amy King, Heather Nagami, and Tim Peterson. To read more about the judges, please the judges bio page.
The
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will all
receive prizes. The 1st
place winner will receive 3 books from her/his favorite web-bookstore (up to
$45). 2nd place will
receive 2 books (up to $25). 3rd
place will receive 1 book (up to $15).
