She was born NATIVIDAD DESEADA LIBERTAD TANTUICO HIZON. A real mouthful, so she was called Liberty Hizon for short. She was born on September 10, 1924 in San Fernando, Pampanga where she was raised by her parents along with 7 other siblings, 6 girls and 2 boys.
She lived a really exciting single life. Not only did she have lots of suitors running after her, she also lived through World War II, the Japanese Occupation. She and her family, managed to survive fires, exploding bridges, etc. to live in Manila.
Someone managed to tie her down on December 8, 1968. That was Horacio Luna, my Papa. On her part, the decision took a lot of soul searching. She even went to Europe just to see if she would miss him. Since she married him, I guess she did : )
Today, she is as strong as ever. On our trips, I'd be panting and she'd be going her merry way!
But GOD has truly blessed a lot of people with her presence.
