Nick Carter enjoyed going out in public incognito. He had had enough practice in the fine art of disguise that he very rarely got recognized while under the guise of his ‘alter ego’ Brad Langly. Nick had enlisted the artistic abilities of the tour makeup artist and together they had put together a disguise consisting of a Georgetown Hoyas baseball cap complete with a crop of dark hair that concealed Nicks golden locks, a pair of scholarly looking spectacles and a wardrobe that Nick would never be caught dead in, but Brad thought looked especially nice. Nick walked down the almost deserted walkways of the mall, drinking in the feeling of being somewhat normal. Monday mornings were his favorite time to shop, as most people were either working or at school, and those who were out and about were very unlikely to know who he was. He wandered in and out of nearly every shop, taking in the smells of new clothes, fine leather shoes and occasionally the perfume of a passing stranger. He felt so alive when he was out alone.

Lori checked her watch and then looked at the sky. This was her first visit to Kansas and she couldn’t believe that she was being welcomed to the heart of tornado alley with none other than a batch of nasty black low hanging clouds and the ominous string of tornado warnings coming over her car radio. She was only 15 minutes away from the house of her friend Kendra. but she feared that mother nature might keep her from her destination. Unsure as to what she should do if the weather worsened and she started to see tornadoes Lori decided to stop and ride out the storm at a large shopping mall she saw down the road. She called Kendra from her cellular phone and told her that she was just too nervous about the weather to drive the remaining distance until things cleared up a bit outside. Kendra, having grown up in tornado alley, kind of chuckled at her friend’s obvious nervousness and told her to do what she felt she needed to do. She told Lori to take her time and enjoy the mall, and not to worry, there weren’t going to be any tornadoes today.

Nick leisurely strolled through the expansive mall, taking his time enjoying the quiet. Except for a few elderly women the place appeared to be deserted. The loud roll of thunder outside an obvious clue as to the lack of consumers, Nick silently thanked mother nature for the storm that kept most people locked up securely in their homes. He had decided today he would shop for his mother’s birthday. Although he hadn’t seen her in nearly 8 months he was planning on flying to her home the following week to surprise her. Things had been somewhat uncomfortable between them since Nick had taken Maundy back into his life. His parents simply could not understand their relationship and although Nick refused to listen to their logic, his parents could not stand idly by and watch her slowly suck the life from him. Two weeks ago had been the final straw when Maundy informed Nick that she wanted to get married. When Nick shook his head and told her they were far too young to take such a big step Mandy had flown off the handle and had broken nearly everything in the house. All of Nick’s dishes and glasses, his proudly displayed platinum albums that hung on the wall, his collection of porcelain pugs that were gifts from his fans, all destroyed by Mandy in a fit of rage. Nick had realized as he stood staring at the shattered remains of some of his most prized possessions that she had to go. Now, free from the restraints of their tumultuous relationship Nick hoped he could mend the most important relationship in his life; the one with his family.

Lori looked around the nearly empty parking lot of the mall and worried that it may not even be open. She easily parked right near the front of the large modern building and hurriedly made her way inside. The heavy clouds had begun to release large heavy raindrops intermingled with pea sized hail. Lori’s heart pounded as she stood watching the ever intensifying storm outside. “There aren’t going to be any tornadoes today” Kendra had told her and Lori relaxed a bit, hoping those words held true. She began to walk about the large mall, musing at the fact that most of the shops were identical to those at her home town mall. There were a few smaller shops that held home made craft items, mostly in sunflower motifs, and there were a few vending carts scattered about that held assorted services such as cellular phone, insurance and Internet access. Lori really had not planned on doing any shopping until a sign across the vast food court caught her eye. “Godiva Chocolates” the large glowing sign read and Lori knew immediately that she was in trouble.

Nick wandered into the neatly decorated candy shop, almost overwhelmed by the heavy scent of fine chocolate that hung in the air. He simply loved chocolate and knew that Godiva’s were some of the best in the world. He had inherited his adoration of sweets from his mother and this seemed to be a good place to start his shopping for her. A small elderly man sat behind a long counter hovering nervously over a small portable television, his eyes darting between Nick and the small black and white screen. Nick smiled his million dollar smile and said in a friendly voice “How’s it goin?”

Lori was immediately intoxicated by the dark sweet aroma of chocolate that filled the store. She was, in all honesty, aroused by chocolate, and standing in the middle of possibly hundreds of pounds of chocolate she felt somewhat lightheaded. She was so in tuned to the overwhelming wash of her senses that she failed to notice the two men in the shop who had stopped to watch her in amusement. “I think I’ve died and gone to heaven” Lori said out loud, taking a tiny morsel of raspberry truffle from a sample tray and slowly placing it into her mouth. A small laugh from across the shop brought Lori back from her chocolate induced heavenly ascent and she blushed as she realized she was being watched. The old man quickly returned his attention to the tiny television and the tall dark haired young man on the other side of the shop smiled brightly at her. “I guess I missed that sample tray.” he said, walking over to where Lori was standing. “From your reaction I think that I might just have to give this stuff a try.” Lori casually measured the young man up and her heart skipped a beat when his crystalline blue eyes met hers. He was not overtly handsome and his physique led her to believe that he too loved chocolate. But there was something about his eyes and his incredibly bright smile that made her stomach fill with electricity.

The F4 tornado hit the city without warning. The warning sirens that were tested weekly stood silent as the thundering mass of black destruction cut a brutal path through neighborhoods and school yards. By the time it hit the large mall it had increased in size and intensity, feeding on dream houses and small businesses it grew to nearly 1/2 a mile wide. They heard it coming before it actually hit and Nick and Lori could only stand there looking at each other as the elderly man ran from the shop, his television under his arm. It all happened so fast that they had no time to realize what it was that was making the entire building shake. It wasn’t until they heard the high pitched scream of shattering glass that they realized they were in trouble. Nick grabbed Lori’s arm and quickly rushed her to the back of the shop. Cowering in the corner Nick tightly wrapped himself around Lori in an attempt to shield her from the debris that would certainly come. The deafening roar of the tornado drowned out Lori’s screams and Nick said a silent prayer as the ceiling above them groaned. It was over in a long instant, a few terrifying moments of crashing and shaking followed by an eerie silence and then the faint sound of distant tornado sirens. Lori was afraid to move, her face buried in the chest of the stranger who had so selflessly protected her. Nick was shaking, afraid to open his eyes in fear of what he would find around them.

Lori gasped for air. She couldn’t breath. She felt as if she were being crushed. Terrified, she opened her eyes and realized she was in the arms of the tall dark hairdo man, his arms trembling he held on to her for dear life. “I can’t breath” Lori wheezed. Nick’s heart sank in fear that she had been injured. He couldn’t bear the thought of having someone die in his arms. “I said I can’t breath.” she gasped, trying to break free of his strong hold. “You’re crushing me, you’re holding me so tight I....can’t.....breath....” Lori said with every ounce of breath she could muster. “Oh my God, I’m so sorry” he said, standing up so quickly that he lost his balance. He fell hard to the floor, his glasses flying across the tile, his hat tumbling aside. Lori stood up carefully and looked around. The shop appeared to be untouched by the destructive hand of the tornado. As she looked towards the front of the shop she realized just how close they had come to being crushed. The entrance to the shop was blocked completely by debris, large steel beams and broken concrete. She then looked down at the man on the floor beside her. She first noticed the blue and gray hat, dark hair stitched around the inside edge, then her eyes fell on him. He was sitting, his head in his hands, his short blonde hair drenched with sweat. He was sobbing.

She knelt down beside him and began to stroke his back. “Hey, hey, what’s wrong? We’re going to be fine. Look.” Lori said in a gentle voice. When he raised his head Lori gasped. She immediately recognized the youngest member of the Backstreet Boys. “I was afraid we were going to...I was afraid you were....are you okay??” Nick asked, suddenly full of concern. “We’re just fine Nick. Look.” Nick looked around in amazement. The shop seemed just as it had when everything had hit, all but the blocked entrance. “I hope everyone else is okay” Nick said softly. They sat listening as an increasing number of sirens blared in the distance.

Minutes turned into hours and they realized it was going to be awhile before they were found. From what they could tell by peering through a few small openings in the blockage the entire mall was collapsed around them. As the afternoon turned into evening it became nearly pitch dark in the small shop. They rummaged around and found a small book of matches and began lighting candles from a large display. A warm glow eventually filled the room, the mixture of the fruity scent of the candles and the sweetness of the chocolate eventually became overwhelming and the two decided they needed to eat something. Being trapped in a chocolate store may sound like a dream come true to some, and to Nick and Lori the first half hour of devouring morsel after morsel of decadent chocolate was blissful. But eventually even they began to tire of it’s richness. They talked for hours, afraid to fall asleep for fear of missing the opportunity to make themselves heard if a group of rescuers were to pass by. The longer they talked the more they realized that they shared a great deal of things in common. Lori loved to laugh and as soon as Nick had discovered this he immediately began to clown around, trying to lighten the mood. Nick began tossing small individually wrapped chocolates at Lori, and what ensued was nothing short of a full blown chocolate war. Somewhere in the mayhem of their pitching chocolate missiles at one another they began to wrestle. Nick quickly over powered Lori and easily pinned her to the floor.

Their eyes locked and they were both silent, only the sound of their labored breathing could be heard. Nick leaned down and softly kissed Lori on the lips. Lori was shocked but didn’t resist the soft kisses he was gently placing on her mouth. Nick gave her dozens of short, soft kisses before he pulled away to stare at her again. “Have you ever seen the movie Speed?” Lori asked after a long while. Nick chuckled softly and smiled. “Yeah, um, I think I’ve seen that one. Why?” “Because this right now reminds me of the end of the movie when Sandra Bullock tells Keano Reeves that relationships that start out of disastrous settings never work” Lori said softly, her hand tracing his jawline. “Well, um, let’s see, have you ever seen the movie Twister?” Nick asked, cocking his head slightly to one side and giving her an inquisitive smile. “Um, yeah, and now I’ve lived it. Why?” Lori said with a laugh, continuing to caress his face with her hand. “That had a happy ending.” Lori chuckled, remembering the final scene were the two lead characters had just survived a large tornado and were sitting on the ground, kissing furiously. She lifted her head and kissed Nick full on the mouth, her tongue gently making its way to his.

Any thought of rescue was quickly abandoned as their kisses became deeper and longer. Nick was laying between her legs, his full weight upon her. He brought his left hand up to softly caress her face as his right hand slowly traced the curves of her body. When it was obvious that there was no turning back Nick rose to his feet and whispered “I’ll be right back.” He went about the shop blowing out the candles until Lori could no longer see what he was doing. After a several minutes Nick came back and stood above her. “Come with me.” he said, offering his hand to her. He led her to a back corner of the shop where he had put together a small makeshift picnic. He had taken a clothe from one of the display tables and laid it out. Scattered about were a number of boxes of chocolates and a single burning candle. “Here, um, this is for you” he said handing her a single silk rose. “I’d rather give you a hundred real roses than this fake one, but um, I’m not exactly able to do that....yet.” Lori leaned herself into him and their bodies molded together like they were meant to be.

Nick wrapped his long arms around Lori’s waist, pulling her tightly against him. She could feel the obvious hardness between his legs as he pressed himself against her. Their lips never left the other’s as the let their hands slowly explore the other’s body. Nicks huge hands made slow easy work of unbuttoning Lori’s blouse and she let out a soft moan as he slipped them beneath the fabric and around her waist. His hands were softer than any she had ever felt, and the way he let just the fingertips run ever so softly down her back sent shivers down her spine and a warm electricity down her stomach to pool between her thighs. Lori’s hands explored his chest and shoulders and she was very surprised to find them broad and firm. She eased his shirttail from his jeans and he quickly followed her lead by pulling his polo shirt over his head. In the soft glow of the single candle she could see that he was well built, a far cry from the pictures she had seen of him during his early teenage years. Her hands made a symmetrical pattern down his chest, his nipples were erect, his breathing heavy. She could feel his heart pounding and realized a slight sweat had begun to cover his body.

Nick slipped Lori’s shirt off and with a quick motion he expertly unfastened her bra. He ran his fingers up the back of the straps, tracing the outline of the soft lace all the way around her shoulders and down to her cleavage. Only then did his lips leave hers as he kissed a passionate trail down her neck, his lips brushing aside the lacy confines of her bra revealing her supple breasts. He cupped her breasts with his huge hands and pressed them together, burying his face in the soft flushed flesh of her bosom. A soft moan escaped Lori’s lips as he took one of her nipples into his mouth, his tongue running small slow circles around it as it quickly hardened in his hot mouth. Lori ran her fingers through his soft hair, and gently urged him to continue his downward descent. Nick moved to the other breast for a moment before dropping to his knees, his kisses continuing down her belly. He unfastened her jeans and with her help she was quickly free of them. She stood there wearing only a pair of panties and Nick looked up at her, his eyes full of desire. He lowered his head and began kissing her softly, starting at her ankles and slowly, achingly slowly began kissing his way up her legs.

Lori kept her hands in his hair as he began kissing his way along the edge of her panties. His hands ran the length of her legs, exploring every inch between her ankles and her thighs as his lips softly kissed and nibbled at the wetness of her panties. His hands made their way to the top of her panties and he slipped his fingers just beneath the top elastic on each side. With one long slow motion he removed her panties, his hands once again running the length of her thighs, calves and ankles. Lori gently grabbed his hair and threw back her head as he buried his face into the warm, moist flesh between her thighs. His tongue was amazingly long and he easily entered her while she was standing. He lapped at her, flicking his tongue expertly, quickly bringing her to the edge of ecstasy. Lori’s body tensed and she pressed his face into her even harder. Nicks huge hands grabbed her from behind, massaging her buttocks as her body trembled from the excruciatingly delightful orgasm that washed over her entire body.

Her knees weak, Lori lowered herself to the floor with Nick’s help and laid back upon the crisp cool cotton of their makeshift blanket. Nick kissed her lips softly and whispered “Are you okay? You’re shaking.” Lori let out a little laugh. “I guess I got a little overheated there, I felt like I was going to pass out.” Nick’s hands continued their exploration of her body and he marveled at the heat of her skin. He reached behind Lori’s head and quickly unwrapped a creme filled truffle. Lori watched as he carefully ran the chocolate down her chest, between her breast and down her belly, the heat of her skin easily melting the delicate morsel leaving a trail of sweetness that stood out in dark contrast to her milky white skin.

Nick stood up, unfastened his trousers and let them fall to the floor. He stepped out of his shoes and removed his pants to stand before her wearing only a pair of boxer-briefs. Lori studied him from head to toe and she could tell by his physique that he was going to be an incredible lover. Lori moaned as Nick slowly removed his boxers, his massive manhood finally revealed to her. He kneeled between her knees and lowered his mouth to her belly. With one long slow movement he licked the entire trail of still warm chocolate from her torso. Just as he reached the last bit of dark sweet chocolate his manhood pressed against her. Without even the slightest pause Nick continued upward and entered her, slowly burying himself in her.

A white hot sensation filled Lori’s loins as Nick began to slowly make love to her. In gentle rocking motion Nick brought her to heights she had never known. She cried out in ecstasy and he filled her with his hardness, holding it in her as the walls of her wetness contracted and relaxed as if to pull him farther and farther in. Nick wanted to make love to her for hours, but her cries of delight and the digging of her fingernails into his back excited him beyond the point of return. He quickened his pace, each thrust a little harder and faster until he was pounding into her with a sense of urgency. “I want you to cum for me, Nick.” Lori said in a loud whisper. “I want to feel it deep inside me.” Nick groaned as Lori spoke. His entire body tensed and he plummeted himself as deep into her as he possibly could as he finally released, filling her with his hot juices. He collapsed onto her, his sweat intermingling with hers, the sweet pungent scent of their sex mixing with the surrounding chocolate in a delightful perfume that could never be matched. Nick wrapped his arms around her tightly and pulled her to lie next to him, placing a soft kiss on Lori’s forehead as she drifted off to sleep.

Nearly 24 hours after the tornado created chaos around them Nick and Lori were finally pulled unscathed from the wreckage of the building. They had been found sleeping soundly in the corner of the shop, covered only by Nick’s jacket. The rescuers were politely discrete and allowed them to quickly dress before taking them to an awaiting ambulance. Much to everyone’s amazement they were both given clean bills of health and released shortly after being examined. Nick and Lori parted ways with the promise that they would keep in touch. The first month after the storm Nick called Lori almost daily, but his calls became more and more infrequent as he took to the road to promote the Backstreet Boys latest album. After only three months Lori never heard from him again. And although it saddened her a bit to know that she had lost touch with him, she at least had the memory of the amazing time they had spent together.

Post script: One year to the day after the tornado Lori sat reminiscing when a soft rap on the door pulled her away from day dream. A delivery man stood at her door holding a massive bouquet of 100 white long stemmed roses and a huge box of Godiva chocolates. There was no card but Lori knew who they were from.
