Recently I was asked to pen a biography for the band SUBURBAN FLU. While seemingly a quite nominal task, I must admit that after I sat down I realized how little I really knew about these feral fellows. The history of the band itself starts in the summer of the year of our lord 2000 A.D. (Suburban Flu played one show previous to Jon joining on albeit under a different name)As I write this, it has been only a couple of months since the groups conception, in it's current line-up. Their first show is about two months after they started playing together and working on songs.

The band features TJ on guitar and lead vocals. TJ is the prime mover in the band as far as composing songs and has a fine punk rock voice to fit the angst-ridden lyrics that he writes while sitting on his couch. TJ likes to skate, has some tattoos, and drives an old Dodge.

Dave is the bassist and backup vocalist. He plays a black Dean bass and shreds it pretty well. He enjoys jumping while he plays and works for a radio station doing the news. He no tattoos whatsoever and thinks you are a sucker if you have one. Dave believes that the band LIFETIME is the greatest thing to happen to rock n roll since the whole power chord thing. Dave and TJ are the founding members of SUBURBAN FLU.

The original drummer was dismissed and Jon joined on just after leaving truck punk fuck-ups STEERJOCKEY after a show in Denver. He has a few tattoos and wishes he had a deck so he could get some street cred by actually performing those monster carpet ollies ,that he does in TJ's living room, on real concrete.

SUBURBAN FLU are fans and ever indignant enemies of pop culture and the various viral infections that go along with it.

This is what they are thinking now:

TJ: "Will Joey Potter ever love me deep down?"

Dave: "Will the neo-fascist populous ever realize their blindess and rise above society with a post-modern aspect to the self-deprecating consumer culture prevelant in America today?"

Jon: "I need a cigarette"
