Whinney's Thoughts

By Suego

The dun yellow mare stood patiently and waited. It seemed the woman she loved more than anything and the man were doing it again. She blew air through her nostrils and shook her mane. The sounds of sighing and murmuring came from the woman. Whinney glanced back at the other horse, they called Racer. He wasn't as interested in the activity. He chewed hay nonchalantly and barely noticed the humans. Whinney heard a soft groan and looked back. The eyes of the woman were illuminated in the firelight and she put her head back and smiled. The man leaned over and kissed her cheek. The words spoken were, "Ayla, that was the best meal ever." "I enjoyed every bite and so did you." Ayla giggled, "It was delicious." Whinney's ear heard the words, but she didn't understand them, but she too knew the pleasure of eating.
