Winter Issue
~Studies In Contrast~

Vol.2, Issue 5
Date of Issue, December 1, 2003

Take a stand out sharp thing, smack against another
so unlike it: winter trees on snow--juxtaposed with sounds
that cut through frozen air. When poetry wears the red/green
blue/orange muffler of surprise, it flares like northern lights
and waits for you to pair it up with syllables part
shout, part curse, part prayer~ it knows
no other way.
