Glue
The chemist finally had a girl friend.
He said, I love you. She said, this tape
on top of cd cases comes off after
you buy the music and I don't see
any residue on the plastic jewel case.
I want us to marry. He kissed her cheek.
And continued. I want children
to come from our love. Lindsae said,
The glue secures the case. But you
never see it. Thomas laughed, said,
Some things are secret. I can't tell you
everything I know. But I want to make you
understand you are my first and only love.
L responded, I am impressed with your work.
I want to know all about these chemicals.
Thomas got down on his knees. They
were in Central Park. Quietly he begged,
please marry me, have our children,
and love me for the rest of time. Lindsae
gazed down, I want to know everything
that goes on with your entire life. I
want to totally emphasize that. Thomas
laughed again, I am your slave. She
demanded, you will always tell me
all, I mean all, your secrets. She kissed
him on the forehead and also laughed,
You know much I don't know. But I
know what runs you. This vow states
that you are mine for as long as you
know things I do not know on this earth.
Why Men Don't Like Themselves
He said, happy birthday hon.
She said, thanks for nothing.
Again. Why don't you get me
anything when I celebrate
this day? He remarked, hon,
we're getting older. Do
we have to be reminded of our
ages? She yelled, yes, and
we have to get each other
gifts. Dah! Birthdays are
part of our lives. Wake
up and accept that. He
sarcastically said, you always
make me see the truths in
our lives. I would rather
just have fun. You know,
laugh and make fun of things.
She said, I was born on
this day. It's a good day.
It's a nice day. Now,
go buy me a cake. People
are coming over. He said,
okay hon. And I guarantee
I'll be nice and smile a lot.
All The Old Times Within The Waters
On the shore of the common lake
she touched my hand. With her hand.
I did not melt. I was getting old.
I did look into her eyes. Saw
her insecurities. Saw mine. Had
had enough and left her for
another lake. There I noticed
the water dirtier. And the birds
funny looking. And I wept. Not
for her. Or the lake. Or
the wildlife. I wept for myself.
I had found nothing in life
except its sadness. I found it
was wearing me down. I found it
was making me too thoughtful.
Un-alive. Finally, I wished
I was all over. The lake looked
forboding. As I walked out into it.
It opened to me. Wider and deeper.
Soothing were its reeds. Fish.
Its depths. I had done this before.
In a past death. I had found
it was fine. I was relieving
worlds of myself. &. That was fine.
