ENDLESS DREAMS
Dark cloudy nights turn into a sea of endless dreams
Feelings of hatred, love, and fear surround me
I see you floating away but you do not try to swim.
You have given up with "I don't know's" and feelings of emptiness.
You lie lifeless from the weight of saving everyone else.
I hear your heart beating like a bass drum with every step I take
Waves crash leaving stars along the banks of hopes
You float farther away without care or feeling
Slowly I see you fade into the engulfing shadows of broken dreams
Can you not see me reaching out,
One unbreakable chain?
Without you my hear sinks
To the bottom of this dark sea
Why don't you try?
What happened to the heart that blossomed
Like a delicate rose before me?
This sea of endless dreams turns into dark cloudy nights.
