SEASONS END
Oh, but were the sweet kisses of the morning dew
As if it was only they that knew
The secret
Secret of beauty and love kept in her heart
Which she could never let part
And he refused to see
Fair gentle wind that brushes her cheek
And brings her solemn song
With heart in hand unmasked she seeks
But only when the last petal falls
It is too late for him to find
This love hidden so deep
And even through the soulful eyes
Never the knowledge did he keep
As time flown by on angels wings
That seasons passing day by day
It is only for her to say
Do swiftly leave anon
And though, pure of heart he now stands
Naked for all to see
It was that with this passing time
His love was stolen from thee
Oh heart of poor lonesome fool
If only you had seen
That maidens fair shallow beauty
Will quickly leave from thee
But her flora and fauna last through all the day
And through the night it seems
For she awakes more fair than thou
And in this instance, you must see
That in this maid's simple song
There was much more beneath
A hidden tone
A longing wish
For only your loves need
And now left in your lonesome sorrow
Amongst the flowers grown pale
There stands a man without his love
That without knowledge
His love grown stale
