SOMEWHERE
Somewhere inside me
There's something longing to come out
A scream for independence
A fight for justice
A cry for love
Somewhere covered by shadows
And memories made long ago
There lurks this undying feeling
Of emptiness that I hold
No drug is of any comfort
To quiet this fear I have
No words that they can offer
Will silence this inner voice
It forces me to search
But for what I may never know
It dares me to look harder
Where I may never have looked before
And the only knowledge I have
Is this void locked somewhere inside
Which entices me to strive for life
But unhinges my soul from the other side
