I am reaching and reaching but
not getting anywhere.
The tips of my fingers touch what
I want.
but I can't grab it.
It won't let me that close.
I can't continue to do this to myself.
So what should I do?
Let go, walk away
or stay and do whatever I can
to be what he wants and needs.
And watch as my heart is mended
behind closed doors,
and broken out in the open.
That is a cycle that happens
and I let it.
Because all I want is to be
close to him.
And I know that in my mind
God has already given me
the answer to the question,
but now he has to teach
my heart to listen.
