Chocolate Saurkraut Bunt Cake

12 pieces would be 6.6 points per slice. That figure is also without the topping. This recipe I got out of my Grandmothers cookbook with recipes she has gathered over the last 60 years and were her favoirtes. Dawn

2 1/4 c flour

1 teas baking soda

1 teas baking powder

1 1/2 c sugar

2/3 c butter

3 eggs

1 1/4 teas vanilla

1/4 teas salt

1/2 C cocoa

1 C water

1 C saurkraut - rinsed and drained well - chopped

 

Cream sugar and butter Beat in eggs, vanilla, salt and cocoa Add dry ingredients and water alternately Blend in Kraut and mix well Bake in greased and floured bundt cake Bake 375º oven for 45-50 minutes Top with powdered sugar glaze or cherry pie filling when serving

Serves 12
