6 Points Per Serving

 

1 lb (93/7) ground beef

1/4 cup chopped green pepper

1/3 cup chopped onion

1/3 cup chopped celery

2 (14 1\2 oz) cans stewed tomatos

1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce

2/3 (6 oz) can tomato paste - freeze the rest of the paste for something else

salt and pepper to taste

4 cups cooked rice (minute)

 

In large nonstick skillet or dutch oven, cook meat, green pepper, onion and celery until meat is browned. Add stewed tomatos (undrained), sauce and paste, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer 10-15 minutes. Add cooked rice, mix well, simmer 10-15 minutes more.

Note: Really good next day or made early in the morning and served at night, after all the tastes mingle. Freezes very well. We serve with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
