Of Everything

Of all the things I'd hate to lose, I'd hate to lose my life.
To not grow up, to not be tough. To go through it with strife.
Of all the things I'd hate to lose, I'd hate to lose respect.
to be so mean, and to be seen, my honor as neglect.
Of all the things I'd hate to lose, I'd hate to lose my faith.
For I can prove that it is true, with God you will be safe.
Of all the things I'd hate to lose, I'd hate to lose my race.
The Irish in me, is all you see, from my ankles to my face.
Of all the things I'd hate to lose, I'd hate to lose school.
For the learning I take. Is far and great, so I'll never be a fool.
Of all the things I'd hate to lose, I'd hate to lose my being.
For I need to grow, I need to show, you all me you are seeing.
