The voices of death will call my name
And strike me down with fury and flame
But when the clenched fist hits my chest
I will not hide for with God I will rest
But before it will come to knock me down
I will live with a smile and not with a frown
For to be on earth, trying as it may be
Will help me to learn and allow me to see
If I can live to please another
Than that I will try for he must be my brother
To live a life that satisfies
Is at death our smallest prize
So when death comes to take me away
I know it is heaven where i will stay
And that to me and you may have been told
Is a prize that is worth far more than gold
And though I may die and you my stay
Do not be sad I am not far away
Soon you too will be set free
To live and be happy for eternity
