Students of Chandra Shekhar Azad University, Kanpur UP compared wheat raised in three different farming systems, Homa Organic Farming, Conventional Agro-chemical system and Natural Agricultural system as a control.
bulletIn Homa Organic Farming System seeds were treated with a solution of cow-dung, cow urine and Agnihotra ash before sowing and after every 7 days were sprayed with Agnihotra ash water solution.
bulletIn Conventional Agricultural system ordinary ash was given plus recommended doses of NPK.
bulletIn Natural Agricultural system only ordinary ash was added to the soil before sowing.
Homa Organic Farming system showed better germination, greater plant height, more tillers per plant and greater yield per plant than either of the other systems.
