PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

Ingredients:

MIX TOGETHER:
1/2 CUP BROWN SUGAR
1/2 CUP SOFT SHORTENING (HALF BUTTER)
1/2 CUP PEANUT BUTTER
1/2 CUP SUGAR
1 EGG

STIR IN:

1 1/4 CUP FLOUR
1/2 TEASP BAKING POWDER
3/4 TEASP SODA
1/4 TEASP SALT

CHILL DOUGH
ROLLINTO BALLS
FLATTEN WITH A FORK DIPPED IN SUGAR OR FLOUR

BAKE 10-12 MINUTES AT 375

GALAXY COOKIES

Ingredients:

MIX TOGETHER --IF TOO DRY ADD 1-2 TEASP MILK

1/2 CUP BUTTER
3/4 CUP POWDERED SUGAR
1 TEASP VANILLA
FOOD COLORING
SALT
1 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
Chocolate Chips

Preparations:

MOLD DOUGH AROUND CHOCOLATE CHIPS
PUT ON UNGREASED SHEET
BAKE AT 350 FOR 20-25 MINUTES

DIP IN 1 CUP POWDERED SUGAR
1 1/2 TEASP MILK
FOOD COLORING
1 TEASP VANILLA

BROWN SUGAR SQUARES

Ingredients:

1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp soda
1 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt

Preparations:

Stir together egg, brown sugar and vanilla. Do not beat.
Quickly stir in flour, soda,and salt
Blend in nuts
Spread in 8" sq which is greased
Bake at 350 for 18 mins
Top will be lightly brown but soft in the center when taken from the oven
Cool in pan

SUGAR COOKIES

Ingredients & Preparations:

Sift together:
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teasp soda
3/4 teasp salt

Cream together:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup crisco shortening
1 cup sugar
1 teasp vanilla

Add to creamed mixture:
1 egg
Beat until fluffy
Stir into dry ingredients
Add 2 Tblesp milk and blend
Bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes

Frost with chocolate powdered sugar frosting

SNICKERDOODLES

Ingredients & Preparations:

MIX TOGETHER:
1 CUP SOFT SHORTENING
1 1/2 CUPS SUGAR
2 EGGS

SIFT TOGETHER:
2 2/3 CUPS FLOUR
2 TEASP CREAM OF TARTER
1 TEASP SODA
1/2 TEASP SALT

CHILL DOUGH:
ROLL INTO BALLS THE SIZE OF WALNUTS
ROLL IN MIXTURE OF 2 TBLES SUGAR AND 2 TBLES CINNAMON
PLACE 2" APART ON UNGREASED SHEET UNTIL LIGHTLY BROWNED
BUT STILL SOFT

Round Mounds

Ingredients:

1/2 cups butter
1/2 cups crisco
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1/3 cups milk
1 3/4 cups flour
1 1/2 teasp cinnamon
1 teasp salt
1 teasp baking soda
2 cups raisins
2 cups oatmeal
1 cups walnuts

Preparations:

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy
Gradually blend in milk, flour, cinnamon, salt and baking soda
Mix well
Stir in oatmeal, raisins and nuts
Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheets
Bake at 350 for 14-16 minutes

CHRISTMAS ROLL OUT COOKIES

Ingredients:

1 CUP SHORTENING
2 CUPS SUGAR
3 EGGS
SALT
1 TEASP SODA
1 TEASP VANILLA
4 1/2 CUPS FLOUR

Preparations:

CREAM SHORTENING,SUGAR
ADD EGGS, SALT, VANILLA AND SODA
ADD FLOUR
SHAPE DOUGH IN OVAL
COVER WELL OR WRAP UP
CHILL AT LEAST 2 HOURS
ROLL OUT DOUGH
CUT OUT COOKIES
BAKE AT 350 FOR 8-10 MINUTES
DO NOT LET THEM BROWN

DATE NUT BALLS

Ingredients:

2 cups dates chopped (1 pound)
6 cups Rice Krispies
1 cup margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
3 Tblesp milk
Salt
Vanilla
1 cup nuts
Coconut

Preparations:

Melt margarine and sugar
Add dates until mushy
Add beaten eggs and milk slowly cook until syrupy..(5 minutes?)
Add salt and vanilla
Add Rice Krispies and nuts
Stir...cool...roll balls in coconut and nuts

Krispie Jumbles

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 teasp baking soda
Salt
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teasp vanilla
2 cups cocoa krispies

Preparations:

Sift together flour, soda and salt. Set aside
Beat butter and sugar until fluffy
Add egg and vanilla..beat well
Stir in dry ingrediednts
Mix in cocoa krispies
Drop by Tblesp onto greased cookie sheet
Bake at 350 for 13 minutes
