Chapter 25
Brian's POV

"I can't believe she'd do this!" Kevin bellowed as he paced the room. "How could you let her run away like that!"

"Me?!?" I exclaimed, jumping up from the bed in defense. "You think I wanted her to go?"

"Why didn't you stop her, then?"

"Because she's her own person!" Kevin sighed, slamming the dresser with his fist. It made the girls and Nick jump, but I didn't even flinch. "Kevin, she has a mind of her own."

"Kevvy," Kristin cooed, coming up to him and laying a hand on his arm in a seductive gesture. "Don't worry about her. She's not worth it." Kevin clenched his hands into fists.

"Could you two leave for awhile?" I said to her and Leighanne.

"But Bri-Bri-" Leighanne began to whine.

"Out!" Kevin yelled. The two women stood up, but didn't move. I went to the window and slammed my hands onto the window-sill. Nick got up off the other bed and took the women by the arm. Opening the door, he gave a light push, slamming the door behind them.

"Thank you," I said.

"No prob," he said, taking his seat on the bed.

"How could you let her get away like that? Do you know what this's gonna do to me?" Kevin exclaimed. "How do you think I feel?"

"How do you think she feels?" Nick said, crossing his arms over his chest. "How you feel if one day somebody just marched right up to you and told you they were part of the family that gave you away? You have no idea how hard this is for her."

"And neither do you!" Kevin retorted.

"But at least he's acknowledging that it's hard," I said, turning around to face him. "She hasn't even had time to think about all of this, being on tour and everything. We should have thought better before telling her all of this. It wasn't fair to her."

"And you think it was fair to me when my mom decided to tell us that she had an affair when my father was still alive?"

"How can you be that selfish?" I said, amazed. "All you can think about is yourself!"

"And all you can think about is her!"
