Chapter 3
Alex's POV

"Are you guys ready to do this?" I asked as JC and I joined Elisbeph, Melissa, Roxie, Justin, and Joey in the rec. room backstage.

"Yeah, but we're missing Star," Mel said. After throwing my hair up into a high ponytail, I went over to her dressing room and knocked loudly on her door.

"Star Silver! Get your *ss out of that dressing room." Then I looked at the others mischievously, turning back to the door. "And pull Chris's pants up while you're at it."

"Hey!" Star yelled from behind the shut door. I ran over to the couch and practically tripped over Justin. I had composed myself and was sitting innocently when the door flung open, Star and Chris running out. "You are so dead," she growled. I just smiled and waved.

"You guys ready?" Lance asked as he came into the room. I looked at the other girls nervously. Their faces mirrored mine.

"Maybe?" I suggested. JC came up and put his arms around my waist.

"You'll do great," he said. "All of you will."

"Alex, you know you'll be hyper as soon as we get up there," Roxie said, leaning against Lance, who had his arm around her.

"Elis isn't any better," I said, winking at my best friend. She just smiled playfully from her position on Joey's lap.

"If we think you girls need help, we'll be out there in a flash," Justin reassured us, his arm tightening protectively around Melissa. The room was silent for a moment, then Chris spoke up.

"Wow, you all look like twins!" he said, eyeing each of us. We looked at each other. He was right. We were all basically wearing the same outfit, except for Star and me. All of our outfits had tight black pants, but our shirts were different. Elisbeph, Melissa, and Roxie had on waist length shiny tank-tops, Roxie's in gold, Mel's in purple, and Elis's in royal-blue, Star and I had on stomach baring, short-sleeved shiny shirts, Star's in silver and mine in emerald-green. At that moment, our name was called.

"Galaxy!" Tony, Nsync tour manager called us. "You ready?"

"Ready as we'll ever be," Elisbeph called back. Kissing Joey lightly, she hopped off his lap and brushed herself off. She looked at us. "You ready?" I nodded and gave JC a quick peck on the lips, hugging him tightly.

"You'll do great, baby," he whispered in my ear. I smiled at him and walked towards the stage entrance, prying Mel away from Justin on the way. The stage darkened and Tony gave us our cue. We walked out onstage and grabbed the microphones off the floor. When we were ready, the first spotlight went on Elisbeph.

"Hello, Philadelphia!" she called.

Up In The VIP Box, Nick's POV

"Looks like it's starting," Leighanne stated. I rolled my eyes.

Ya think? I thought, sarcastically. No, of course not! It's only that the lights went off and everyone's silent for once.

Kevin's POV

"Hello, Philadelphia!" a redhead onstage called as the spotlight hit her. The crowd cheered in response.

"That can't be my sister," I mumbled to myself.

"She said, 'Hello, Philadelphia'!" a long-haired brunette called, the next spotlight hitting her. The crowd cheered twice as loud this time.

"That could be her," Brian whispered to me. "She's got the tall profile and brown hair." Kevin shrugged.

"Good!" a blond said as the next one hit her. "You think our hometown could be a little louder than that." The crowd was a mixture of laughter and cheers.

"You guys ready for Nsync?" a short haired brunette asked. The crowd went insane!

"That's not her, either," I said, matter-of-factly.

"Why are you so intent on finding this girl?" Kristin asked, cluelessly. I just shook my head and smiled. I'd never told her about my sister. The guys and I had decided to keep it to themselves until we found her. Hell, we didn't even know her name!

"I'm glad you're so hyped up," the last of five said, "but would you mind if we sang a little first?" The crowd cheered as the last spotlight hit the girl. Her hair turned a deep-shade of auburn in the bright light and I could almost see her emerald green eyes from where I was sitting!

"That has to be her," I whispered to Brian in awe.

"Hey, Kev, " Howie said. "Do ya think . . ." I nodded and the others nodded back, leaving the two girls clueless. The two looked back towards the stage and glared at the last girl as the entire stage lit up with black lights.
