THE BACHELORETTE III 02/15/05
Q. I don’t believe you were surprised to see Ryan go home.
A. No, I was almost certain he was not going all the way. One good piece of advice to all single men and women out there; There are many different adjectives someone whose love you are pursuing can bestow upon you, but I advise you to give it up if all that comes to their mind is to say you are “sweet”.
Q. All right A.T., give me a few examples of more exciting adjectives.
A. I don’t know Wendy but sweet is the last adjective that crossed my mind the first time I say my present day wife and we had a conversation, and I believe she IS a sweet person. It’s just a dud adjective that sounds OK for a friend or a relative but not for someone who is supposed to produce a meltdown of your little gray cells whenever you lay your eyes upon them.
Q. LOL, I’ll keep that one in mind. Tell me the truth, who do you see winning?
A. Before we get into that I wish to say this series has not impressed me at all. It has been geared more towards reminiscing about Jen’s relationship with Andrew than anything else. We even have him coming to next week’s episode, an uncomfortable situation for all involved! I am still trying to figure out what made him agree to do it.
Q. All right, let’s talk about JP and Jerry.
A. I actually have nothing new to say about either one. JP looks like he is going to fall asleep whenever he is with Jen, and there is no romance anywhere to be seen when he and Jen are together. Jen sounds like a broken record; all she seems to be able to say is how mature and successful JP appears to be, considering he is so young.
Jerry is another one who does not behave like he is too enthusiastic about spending the rest of his life with Jen or anyone else for that matter. Please don’t tell me that is how modern day couples interact with each other when they are falling in love!
Q. Don’t you think it may all be in the editing?
A. I can concede the editing may fool us when it comes to guessing who Jen is going to choose in the end, but no amount of trick editing can make Jen’s kissing scenes with both finalist seem so boring and emotionless. As much as I try to look for it I do not see any tenderness between Jen and either man when they kiss.
It is possible this last observation may be meaningless if we consider the possibility Jen may not be an affectionate person, once she get past the kisses, hugs, and habit of patting men on the back when they try to become affectionate. In other words, if Jen is not a passionate woman, she could be head over heels in love with either man and appear, on the outside, like she was going to fall asleep as soon as she was able to find a “comfy spot”. Needless to say, I don’t know her well enough to say anything for certain.
Q. What’s your opinion of the rumors Wendell may be the next Bachelor?
A. I like Wendell but do not believe he would make an interesting Bachelor.
Q. Next week, the Men Tell All. Are you looking forward to it?
A. Like a large number of viewers, I am curious to know what Andrew & Jen will talk about, but am not holding my breath for anything exciting to happen.
