Q. I remember you telling me last week Meredith was probably the next to go.
A. I believe almost everyone felt it was going to be Meredith. Bob’s attraction for her reached a peak during their beach date, but I get the feeling it did not develop any further from that point on. It is difficult for me to ascertain the reason why this happened. Perhaps her grandmother’s death cast a shadow on their relationship, or maybe Meredith somehow reminded him of his ex-wife; I honestly can not tell by watching edited segments from a TV show.
Later I will expand a little more but I feel Meredith actually came out a winner last night. I do not believe she would have been happy with Bob in the long run. She is a very special person, and I sincerely wish her the best.
Q. What did you think of Bob’s visit with Mary’s family?
A. She has a wonderful family, I could tell they are very close knit, and they were all happy to see each other.
Mary is too emotional and is moving too fast, in my opinion. She does not realize some men’s feelings develop at a slower pace than women’s do.
Bob is not at the same point she is in the relationship, I could see it in his facial expressions while she was opening her heart to him last night. I also believe Bob did not feel a connection with Mary’s family, nor did they connect with him, even if everyone’s behavior was pleasant and friendly.
There were a couple of scenes where you could observe her mother’s facial expression, and she did not appear to be happy. My opinion might change later, but feel Bob can not give Mary what she is seeking from him, and he is beginning to realize this.
Q. What about Estella?
A. Estella also behaved emotionally last night. I honestly thought she was going to get sick during the rose ceremony. Her facial expression, during the ordeal, expressed a great amount of stress. I somehow believe Bob feels connected with her, and there might be more between them than we have been allowed to see.
Q. I know you were impressed with Kelly and her upbeat family.
A. I saw a different side of Kelly last night, and it helped me understand her personality better. There is much more to this nice person than just someone with a carefree and joking personality. After last night’s show, I feel Kelly could settle down, with the right person, and make him happy. My opinion has not changed, I still believe of the three remaining women, she is the best suited for Bob. I just do not know if Bob is able to give her everything she needs in a relationship and a marriage.
Q. All right A.T. let it all out! I know you wish to say something else.
A. The personal opinions expressed in these articles are based only on segments of a TV show. For the most part, I believe these have been an outstanding group of women. I feel this is the first series where all four women left are exceptional people, and I am including Meredith in the group. Any one of these women could be a wonderful wife, and make any man happy, however; each needs something Bob is not able to give them at this time in his life.
It is too early for me to make a prediction as to which woman Bob will choose in the end. However I will make a different prediction, I feel Bob’s relationship with whomever he chooses will not be a long-lived one, in other words, they will not marry and grow old together. The feelings they share at the end of the show will be inconsequential, since it will wear off in a relatively short period of time.
I honestly can not blame Bob for this either, since he has always been honest and forthcoming. From the very beginning he stated he might not propose at the end of the show. He has also made no secret to the fact he is evaluating his options in the entertainment industry. I strongly feel he would make a good husband and father, but Bob is not at that point in his life yet.
The only episode I am looking forward to seeing is the Reunion Special. It should be very interesting to watch, especially if the producers do not edit out the interesting interactions between all the participants.
