The Bachelorette II
By Wendy Thompson
Q. Just a quick question about The Apprentice. How did you know Trump was playing cat and mouse with Sam?
A. It was fairly obvious Sam was not what Trump was searching for. He simply lost touch with reality, self-destructing in his attempt to impress Trump and the viewers. I would venture to say Trump read Sam like a book from day one, and only kept him around for entertainment purposes.
Q. Let’s get to the Bachelorette. Another one you predicted would go soon was Damon.
A. Going into the show, I believe he may have been one of the viewer’s favorites, but I always felt Damon was not the type of person Meredith was searching for. He appears to be a nice guy, but our girl likes a totally different type of man.
Q. What did you think about Meredith’s date with Rick?
A. I did not see many sparks flying during their one on one date. On the contrary, Meredith did not appear to be completely at ease in his company, and most of the conversations we saw between them were a little strained, in my opinion. At this point I would venture to say she still likes him enough to have offered him a rose, but I do not believe he is her favorite and his time is numbered. I personally believe Rick is somewhat different than how he is trying to portray himself on the show. .
Q. Talk to me about some of the others.
A. There are always a group I call fillers, which are the ones she feels comfortable with, but not enough for her to develop any deep feelings for, at least for now. I would say Chad, Brad, Sean, and Mathew fall into that category. They would need to do some swift talking to change their position within the hierarchy, in my opinion. At least I have not seen any sparks flying between Meredith and any of them.
Q. What about Lanny and Ryan M? I though Lanny would be going home last night.
A. I got the feeling she liked Lanny, and was surprised she felt so comfortable in his company. Things may change enough for him to go all the way, but I somehow do not believe he will be the one. The same goes for Ryan M. She may enjoy his company and laugh at his jokes, but I do not believe he is the type of man Meredith is seriously attracted to.
Q. Who do you think are her favorites?
A. There are several that appear to be in Meredith’s elite circle, at least at the present time. I would say Ryan R., Todd, and Ian have captivated her attention. I feel she communicates well and effortless with all three, and any one of them could take the lead in the next couple of weeks. Meredith is a fairly easy person to read, and we will begin to see which ones she favors fairly soon, unless the Producers begin playing trick with the editing. We’ll see what happens next week.
