Tarry awhile at the places most dear to you and then move on.....Our lives after all are a collection of memories and Erica gives us a second chance to relive the greatest time in our lives....

Erica Writes:

"Just returned from a wonderful trip to Barnes..........after 26 years!!! Absolutely fantastic!!!! The school has changed and is not what it used to be.... It felt great being back!!!!

A fete was held at the school grounds to celebrate Founders Day. A few ex-students showed up, Muno Hussain (who looks the same!!) Richard Bardey, Rustom Parvaresh and Hanif Quarishi, it was great meeting up with all of them!! We went every where!!! I even ate some of the wheat porridge from a glass!!! and plucked boras and tamrind from the trees next to the quarries!!! Met up with the Gadres, Esther Quintal, Nalini Raghavan(who is now a Matron of Haig Brown), Swings, Thorpes and Davis'. Everyone recognised me first hand..except for Mrs. Gadre and Mr. Davis!!!!

Spent a wonderful evening at Suhas' hotel and had dinner with him and his wife Amita. Nilou Sharma and her husband joined us for a short while.....It was great meeting Nilou......we kept teasing her of being chumcha!!! Later we went to Suhas' wonderful mansion and met his two good-looking kids. Suhas.....thank you for your hospitality.

I could never have done this trip on my own, Karen thank you so much for arranging and accompanying me on the trip. I did warn Karen that she would have to bear my silly behaviour!!!! I literally screamed in delight at the site of Gate Lodge.
