Why?

Why do I do the things that I do?
Why should I even care?
After all, it is no longer my concern
I am relatively free and moving on with my life
Yet I am drawn towards others
Who have shared a fate similar to mine
So I write and I post and I hope
That other Tortured Souls
Will read my messages
And find a glimmer of … hope?
And maybe decide to break away
From the torment and despair
