After the excesses of Christmas and New Year we downgraded to a tent, and moved to Melbourne via the holiday town of Narooma on the New South Welsh coast. After a day exploring Melbourne in the company of bubbly ex-Gaian Tanya Brooman, we headed off to Launceston (irritatingly pronounced Lonn-sess-ton) in Tasmania. We hired a car, packed the tent and zoomed off for 8 days of adventure, hiking and glimpses of breathtaking natural landscapes. The first pictures are here (the 700kms or so down to Hobart). The rest of the Tasmanian pics will be uploaded soon. For more details, check out our diary.
