The Answer
Do you know what I see in the ebony night sky?
I see answerless questions, and I ask myself why
I don't just give up and refuse to go on.
I search hard for the answer, but it doesn't take long
For me to realize spontaneously, just out of the blue,
That the answer to all of my questions is you.
Your bright happy smile and perpetual cheer
Make me feel much lighter whenever you're near.
Your deep blue-green eyes whose gaze caught from afar
Remind me of two gleaming, radiant stars.
Your melodious voice; the warmth of your touch,
Make me wonder why I was the one blessed with so much
Of your overbearing happiness, sincere and true.
If I'm in need of an answer, then I'll look to you.
