Stargazing
I once gazed upon heav'nly bodies afar,
But this time focused on a different star,
Rather than that which so haunts my past,
For the new one's much brighter than the last
Star upon which my gaze fell,
The one that led me into hell.
The new star was majestic, shining bright
In the middle of the darkest night.
It radiated such a spectacular light;
It truly was a breathtaking sight.
As I watched, I felt its light fall on my brow
And I knew that things would get better somehow.
I was so incomprehensibly moved
By one star; now, maybe, my life would improve.
