Saturday, May 7, 2005 I had not planned to work out today because of doing some work in the house this morning and afternoon, but my gym was having a drawing for a $500 cash prize. So, I decided to go ahead up there early as I would not feel right just showing up at 4pm to hear the drawing (like so many members of my gym do when they have these things). I walked for 20 minutes, did my abs stuff, then rode the dual-action bike for 10 minutes and then they started in on the drawing. They ended up giving away a lot of other prizes in addition to the $500, but I did not win a thing, at least I burned more calories than I would have otherwise. Friday, May 6, 2005

treadmill walk - 30 minutes I tried a few new moves at the gym today. Wow. I had to look on the internet for some help in explaining what exactly it was I was doing, haha. Using a Hyper Extension Bench for Inverted Back Extension and Oblique Flexor- set at an exact 45° angle for ultimate conditioning.
You bend forward and down and come back up and it works your back, you can hold weights in your hands while doing this if you chose. You can also position yourself on your side, bending to touch your fingers to the ground and then come back up. It's pretty cool. Friday, April 29, 2005

Thursday, April 28, 2005 No gym today, but mowed the lawn this evening with the new mower that I bought today. Now that my car is taken care of and the mower situation is taken care of, I hope to start getting to the gym regularly again! Wednesday, April 27, 2005 These are great for single-serving meals. They hold 12 fluid ounces and I have baked lasagna and chicken parm, chicken alfredo and rice dishes in them.
Tuesday, April 26, 2005 I am sure that somewhere within the words that are to follow, at least one activity point was earned today. So I took my car in for its state inspection yesterday. Today I was waiting to hear what's going on with it. I decide to use my day productively. As I walk out of the house to cut the grass, the car place calls to tell me that I will have to have 2 repairs to my car to have it pass inspection, probably will cost me no less than $400 once all said and done. (But okay, my car has been pretty good with no major mechanical problems since I have owned it. I've been blessed. Then I go out to cut the grass, lawn mower started up okay, but then stopped once I made it across the yard. I started it again, and then it stopped. Took a break. I got mower started again, then stopped, now it will not even let my pull the starter line thingy. I am thinking, okay, I will have to take in the mower, so let me spray it down with water, get it cleaned up a little, and there is a freaking hole in the hose and now my nasty grass cuttin shoes are even that much more nasty because they are sopping wet! So then I go to the back yard to get the other hose, it is a really long hose, and it is very heavy. After fighting with it to get it to the side of the house, I go to attach it to the water spigot, and it does not fit. I then went into the utility room to fetch my tool box, would'nt you know when I flipped the light switch on, it blew out! Now I've had to climb up on the washer to get to change the light bulb! Nothing is going right today! This is one of those days when I feel like God is trying to punish me. I'm sure God is testing me somehow, but I wish He could have sent me a little less stressful test, ya know? Monday, April 25, 2005 I knew I had not been to the gym in a while, but I had no idea anyone there would even notice my absence, I don't go there to socialize. I was walking on the treadmill and a lady came to me and asked where I'd been. She also said something that completely cracked me up. She and her Mom work out together, and you know how sometimes you see people anywhere and maybe think to yourself, "She must be ____." (Insert any assumption in blank.) She said her Mom and her had pinned me as a stay at home Mom of two. I'm flattered that I have that "motherly look" (and figure, too) because I want to have kids with my honey someday. And it was nice to know that my presence was missed.

I have not felt so good this week so I decided to take some time off from the gym. Spring Training starts at my gym on April 9, did not do it last year but I think I might this time. Friday, March 25, 2005 Did not want to go today!

Today was my first day back in the gym and it just about killed me. Not the being there and working out, that was the easy part. Getting there, actually going, that was the tough part. Anyhow, while I was away, my gym. changed to a brand new location, and they have gotten some pretty cool new equipment added to the old stuff. This "1 2 3 Strive" strength training system looks very cool.
Treadmill Walk - 30 minutes Need to seriously get my cardio in gear and do a minimun of 1 hour a day 4-5 times a week, if not more. Missing my guy!!!! Miss you so much! Sprint Circuit
